About

I'm Josh Pickett, an Enrolled Agent — and I've been on your side of the table.

Josh Pickett, EA

Before tax, I founded startups, ran my own businesses, and held a technology leadership role in banking. I've lived the complexity my clients live: multiple entities, payroll, real financial stakes, and the sense that no one advisor ever saw the whole picture. That's the practice I built — the one I wish I'd had.

I work with people whose financial lives have real moving parts — businesses and entities, property, investments, income that crosses borders — and with people who've landed in front of the IRS and need someone to stand there with them. The common thread is that the stakes are high enough that getting it right matters, and that no single form tells the whole story.

I'm an Enrolled Agent, licensed by the U.S. Treasury to handle any federal tax matter for any taxpayer — from planning, to the return itself, to representing you before the IRS. It's the broadest credential in tax, and it's built for exactly this kind of work.

My background is also why the practice runs the way it does. I built the document platform behind it, so instead of a fourteen-page organizer, you hand me what you have and my systems organize it — keeping your information current year-round instead of reconstructed every April, and letting me spend my time on judgment rather than data entry. Every return is still read, line by line, by me.

If your taxes have outgrown simple, that's exactly what I do.
